Abstract
Film is a form of mass media that conveys social messages. Social messages in films have the power to influence a person's behavior, thought patterns, style, and speech. Film is a mass media in the form of audiovisual content that has developed into a beautiful work as well as an instrument of information, propaganda, politics, creativity, and education. Photocopier film is a film about a first-year student who loses a scholarship after posting a drunk selfie on social media. Scholars investigated the film because it depicts the complex social challenges that are still emerging in our society. To seek justice, there are also calls to speak up and take action against the injustice and uncompromising nature of victims of sexual harassment. The approach used in this study is a qualitative method that analyzes the signified, the signified, and the moral message using Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis. The findings of this investigation are presented in the form of images from scenes in a copy of the film Penyalin Cahaya, which are arranged in tables in a narrative.
