Abstract
Female empowerment is the movement to make all the feminist goal to happen. Without female empowerment, feminism goal will hardly be achived. Because if women do not march to empower others, how can others understand what women wants, if not properly given the understanding if women do not speak up and fight for it. Female empowerment is to empower all people to fight for equality. This issue can be expressed through many ways, such as education, art, and much more. In art, feminism is often expressed in a form of a song, like Beyonce. Beyonce is considered as a singer whom often expresses about the idea of feminism issue. Therefore, this study aims to analysing female empowerment in eight Beyonce’s Song Lyrics which are Irreplacable, If I Were A Boy, Run The World (Girls!), ***Flawless, Grown Woman, 6 Inch, Denial, and Don’t Hurt Yourself by using American Feminism Theory, the order of signification by Barthes (1957), and six dimensions of female empowerment as follows, Economic, Physchological, Legal, Socio-Cultural, Familial/Interpesonal, and Political that proposed by Malhotra (2002).
