Abstract
English is a very important subject because English is international language. But, there are a lot of students feel difficult to learn that so the student score is low. One of the big problems in learning English is vocabulary. Vocabulary is very difficult because there are a lot of vocabulary that must be remembered by students. Beside that teaching and learning model in teaching English must be matched and adjusted with the situation in the class, because students will be interested in the subject when they interested in the situation. Based on that statement, the teacher must increase the student’s vocabulary and then students must be more active to build their knowledge and their understanding about vocabulary. It can motivate students and they do not only accept what they learn but also implement it. The purpose of this research to know teaching learning result by using MASTER teaching learning model in teaching English that compared by conventional in teaching English. After that, the researcher wants to know students response about MASTER teaching learning model in teaching English. This research use experimental method. The population of this research is all of X grades in SMKN 2 Karawang. Samples of this research are X Ak 1 as experiment class and X Ak 4 as control class. Instrument that used in this research is multiple choice and attitude scale. Attitude scale is consist of questions about English subject and MASTER teaching learning model. This test is given to 36 student of X grade in the same class. Based on research result, pre-test and post test instrument can be used. After collecting the data, the researcher analyze pre-test and post test by using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) 18.0. The conclusions of this research are: (1) The student’s vocabularies skill that using MASTER teaching learning model is better than the student’s vocabularies skill that using conventional. (2)The students give positive response to MASTER teaching learning model in increasing student’s vocabularies. Key words : MASTER teaching learning model, vocabularies
