Abstract
Film (movie) is one of the genres of literature that is preferred to be watched by people of various ages . Many people watch movie to spend their time, as entertainment or learn . Every movie s has message s conveyed toward the audience s . The director covers it in a unique style, trough the conversation and the actions of the characters. Moral messages give example of good attitude, which inspired from society„s behavior . T he writer chose “ An Ana lysis of Moral Messages of Harald’s The Karate Kid ” as the title of this research. The puposes of this research are divided into parts: to give life lesson that taken from the movie which can be good examples for the audiences and to fi nd out the way direc tor conveys the moral messages in the movie. Qualitative research is a search of which the data written or oral words are descriptive analyzed. The result of analy zing the data that selected from dialogues contains of moral messages. The writer analyzes th is research based on the theory of moral by Nurgiyantoro . There are 20 moral messages from 20 dialogues which contains of moral messages .
