Abstract

Theresearchisentitled“AnAnalysisofPsychologicalDisorderofMain CharacteronWebster’sDaddyLongLegs”.Itattemptstoanalyzethemain charactersproblemswhichcontainpsychologyissue.Therearethetwokind purposesoftheresearch,firstistofindouthow aretheplot,settingand characters thatdiscribed in novelDaddy Long Legsby Jean Webster publishedon1912.Secondtofindouthowaretheplot,settingandcharacters portrayalsthepsychologycaldisorderofmaincharacter.Thecontextofthis paperistoanalyzethepsychologicaldisorderofmajorcharactersusing intrinsicvaluesconsistofplotbyFreytagapproach,settingbyNurgiyantoro approach,andcharactersbyAbramsapproach.Thewriterusesadescriptive qualitativeapproachinordertoanswertheresearchquestion. Thewriter found thatthe psyshocogy disorderwhich one,Personality Disorderand Trauma-Stress related Disorder were often appear in this analysis becauseThemaincharacterseemshasadifferentpersonalitywhenshelived in Orphanage and University. In orphanage her mental became a distrubtion.The time goes by,the new setting in University made her psychologygettingbetterandbetter.Thus,thekeypointfrom thispaperthat characterizeofacharacterinfiction.Itwillsheafbytheotherelements, settinganditiscomponents.
