Abstract

The emergence of Tiktok social media as a result of the development of the internet has changed the way we communicate, interact, and receive information. The research entitled "The Effect Of Mindless Scrolling Tiktok Behavior On The Academic Procrastination Of Final Year Students In Bandung City" focuses on existing problems based on the dimensions of the variables studied and based on observation results. The purpose of this study is to find out how much the Mindless Scrolling Behavior of Tiktok with the dimensions of Entry Point To Passive, Normative Dissocatiaton, and Exit Point affects Academic Procrastination. The object of this research is a Bandung City student who actively uses Tiktok social media who is a final year student at his university. The research method used is the Quantitative Method using the theory of Uses and Gratifications. The ordinal data in this study was transformed into interval data using the Method of Successive Interval (MSI) method using the Stat XL program. The analysis technique used is Path Analysis with the help of SPSS IBM 29. The results of this study were that Mindless Scrolling Behavior Tiktok had a simultaneous effect on Academic Procrastination of 0.339 (33.9%), the Entry Point To Passive dimension had no significant effect on Academic Procrastination of 0.101 (10.1%), the Normative Dissociation dimension had a partial and significant effect on Academic Procrastination of 0.314 (31.4%), and the Exit Point dimension had a partial and significant effect on Academic Procrastination by 0.254 (25.4%).
