Abstract

The problem in this research is the performance of staff at the Department of Population and Civil Registration Banjar low. This is caused by a factor of motivation that has not been implemented by the head office effectively. Penelitiannnya method uses explanatory survey. The reasons for selecting this method is based on the consideration that the survey method is widely used and the depth of the object under study at least partially, the overall approach is based on the system. The use of such methods not only describe and explain the empirical facts found in the field but also to analyze the influence of both partially and simultaneously among the variables that are the focus of research, in this case the variable provision of motivation to work as an independent variable (independent variable) and performance as the dependent variable (dependent variable). Simultaneously explained that the motivation provide considerable influence and significant impact on the performance of employees in the Department of Population and Civil Registration Banjar of 61.1%. That is the provision of motivation is very dominant and can determine the achievement of the performance of employees at the Department of Population and Civil Registration Banjar. Beside that also that the researchers found that the performance of employees at the Department of Population and Civil Registration Banjar City is not only influenced by motivation alone, but there are other variables that also affect it at 38.9%. Motivation partially through dimensions provide positive and significant impact on the performance of the staff of the Department of Population and Civil Registration Banjar. This is reflected in the results of research which illustrates that the provision of motivation as measured by the dimension of the motives, expectations and incentives considerable influence on employee performance of Population and Civil Registration Banjar, although not yet fully operationally effective so that the implications on improving the performance of employees. The greatest influence on the dimensions of motivation on employee performance is the dimension of incentives (27.9%), while most of his influence is the dimension of expectations (11.2%).
