Abstract
This research paper is entitled “An Analysis of Slang Words in Cannon’s Pitch Perfect Movie Clip”. The content in this paper is to know about the slang words in the movie entitled “Pitch Perfect” by American movie, directed by Ray Cannon. In conducting this research, the writer uses qualitative method in order to analyze the slang words contained in the movie. The writer decides to conduct this research to find the slang words and its change of meaning. The writer chooses the movie because the conversation are used with the slang words never heard before. The result of the research are 21 slang words, and 9 of them are never heard before, because it is only found in the movie “Pitch Perfect”.This research concluded that through movie, the authors can convey slang words that contained in their works are indeed useful for audience.
