Abstract
This research tells about stylistics research (figurative language and imagery). The writer chooses “A Stylistics Research, The Use of Figurative Language and Imagery in Mansur’s Poem Entitled “Melihat Api Bekerja” as the title of her research. This research has a purpose to find out the use of the most figurative language of Mansur’s poems with entitled “Melihat Api Bekerja” which has a theme related to family. The writer chooses stylistics research because she was interested in why Aan Mansyur used the figurative language and what figurative language was used in the seven selected poems which had a theme related to the family. The writer thinks that the combination of the use figurative language and imagery can help the readers to convey the message from the poems. The writer use Richard theory about analyze the physical element and mental element is used to describe the research. Keywords: Stylistics, Poem, Figurative Language, Imagery, Qualitative.
