Abstract
This paper entitled “The Propagandist Issue In Dick’s Book: The Man In The High Castle”. This paper is written to fulfill the sarjana degree requirement. The issue background in this paper are the propaganda in novel The Man In The High Castle. This research was conducted because a propaganda can be happened in a novel that appears in the plot and main characters. In this paper, the writer uses a qualitative approach and the writer are collecting the data from Phillip. K Dick novel entitled The Man In The High Castle. The writer analyzed the data in order to know what kind of propaganda that happen in the novel and how that can be happen. In order to answer the main problem. This study was conducted based on the plot and characters in the novel. The data has been analyzed and there are 3 main plots and 6 characters that can be identified to be a propagandist in order to manipulate the other characters in the novel. Their statements become the data that conducted as an indicator for them. Keyword: Propaganda, Novel, Alternate History.
