Abstract

The tittle of this research is “An analysis of Social Conflict on Jameson Brooks’s Bomb City the objective of the study are to find the kind and cause of social conflict in the movie. The researcher analyze the script of movie in every scene. Kind of social conflict in the Jameson Broooks’s movie is Conflict of Involving Social Positions, Conflict of Interest, Conflict of Role. There are Conflict of Involving Social Positions in 7 scenes, 7 scenes in Conflict of Interest, and 9 scenes in Conflict of Role. The cause of conflict in Jameson Brook’s Bomb City are cause of war, crime, the violance towards norm of society (alcoholism), environmental problem (physial environment and social environment). Cause of war in 2 cases, cause of crime in 2 cases, the violance towards norm of society (alcoholism) in 2 cases, and the last cause of environmental problem in 4 cases. The researcher used qualitative method in analyzing data to find the results and answer the problems. The step to collecting data is documentation,observation, and cause study and technique for analyzing data is mark the dialogue quotation, collected the data based on the social conflict, analyze and classify, then make a conclusions. The researcher found 3 kind of Social Conflict and found 4 cause of conflict in the Bomb City Movie. The dominant in kind of Social Conflict is Conflict of Interest and dominant in cause of conflict is environmental problem. Keyword:Literature, Sociology,Conflict, Movie, Scenes
