Abstract

Biology English Reading Translation Book is very useful to be learnt by many students of natural sciences at university academic level, peculiarly for Biology students. This English book is very special designed to Biology Major, this is for, only a few that specific English Reading book for Biology existed in our country of Indonesia. English studying of this book covers six skills, they are as follows; the first is reading, all reading texts are categorized into Biology, the second is speaking, the students are taught and asked to speak aloud of English reading text with a group or personally in front of the class, the third is listening, the students should listen carefully to the word that has the same or different from pronounciation on reading text, the fourth is translating, the students are taught and asked to translate English into Indonesian based on reading, the fifth is structure, the students are taught and asked to make the correct sentence refered to English tenses, the sixth is writing, the students are taught and asked to make their own sentences by building English word or rearranging incorrect sentences to the correct one. Basically, this book is focused on reading and translating skills. The main purposes of the study is to teach interactive competence of English that has the big capability to understand reading text and translate English into Indonesian in natural Science field, principally at Biology Department of University accademic levels.
