Abstract

A die is a specialize tool used in manufacturing industries to cut or shape material using a press tool. Like molds, dies are generally customized to the item they are used to create. Products made with dies range from simple paper clips to complex pieces used in advanced technology. Spotting dies is a process to check off the top plate and bottom plate from the several processes in making the product using a press tool, where until now the setting is done with manual process or need operator to do it. So it will have much time because the tool must be lifted and locked by the bolt and manually open. An assistive device is needed for process of spotting dies, so it will make easier to set up the product. It will be interesting to solve the problem and will be able to increase the efficiency of spotting dies by reducing time without make influence of the product. Finally, these final projects seek the assist device to reduce time process. After the plan of manufacture process was done, the assistive device will build as soon as possible. v
