Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is additional material that is harmful formaldehyde contained in the wet noodles are sold in the city of Bandung. The design of the research is the method of sampling. The way in which the researcher is looking for traders who have a wet noodle stalls, thereby reducing the possibility of taking samples of homogeneous in each sub-district located in Bandung, then take a sample of a wet noodle. The design of the treatment method used is purposive sampling or sampling considerations according to the researchers. The way in which research is split into 30 sub-district of Bandung. Obtained a total population of 485 merchants wet noodles in Bandung. Total population is then subjected to reduction through the calculation using the formula Slovin thus generated source sample to represent the population that already exists, the source samples that have known then reduced back to 138 samples to be taken, where the method of sampling purposively allowed to take 30% of a representative sample ie samples that have been represented on the number of existing samples. The results of the analysis of qualitative test formaldehyde content in 138 samples of wet noodles taken from each district in the city of Bandung can be concluded that by 12.31% or a total of 17 samples of wet noodles in Bandung positive used of formalin.
