Abstract
The use of bottled water is now more and more users, in addition to practical without the cooking process the price is competitive when compared to boil the water. The use of bottled water for dispensers (in Indonesian is “gallon”) is widely used among households. But there are problem in the activities of the installation the gallon to dispenser. Lifting bottle about 20 kg is usually done by adults (especially strong men), and would be very risky if it must be done by the lady of parents. In fact it can be fatal and risky activity, because the magnitude of the force on the wrong work postures can cause injury to the spine and joints. Therefore, to look for ways how to perform these functions with a small force, thereby reducing the risk of injury. In this thesis, the author would raise the research on the design of the bottle installer engine (gallon) of drinking water to the dispenser. This design has the following specifications: length 800 mm, width 540 mm and maximum height 1500 mm. Using a DC motor drive 180 rpm with a torque of 10 N.m, 24 VDC and 95 watts of power, using a chain-sprocket transmission system no. 25, and the load capacity can be raised by 20 kg.
