Abstract

This paper describes an effort in search of 19th centuty book illustration that depict priangan.This Effort is part of an ongoing broader study on the visualization of priangan by means of book illustration in colonial era.It describes,among other things,the availability of the illustrated biiks in question,their accessibilities as well as their pictorial contens.The description has been expected to be useful in imforming on old book illustrations in which priangan is depicted as their subject matter,developing a documentation of book illustration,and clearning the space for academic interpretation on book illustration,especially in the discipline of Art.
