Abstract

Ucup Yusup, 139010020, The purpose of this research is to know, analyze and test how much influence the competence and work ethic on job satisfaction and commitment that have implications for the performance of employees, survey on the apparatus of financial operators at the local work unit West Java Province. This dissertation is expected to contribute to the development of management science, particularly human resource management in public organizations related influence between the variables: competence, work ethic, job satisfaction, commitment and performance of employees. This research used a descriptive and explanatory survey method, so the approach of this research is descriptive and verification, namely collecting, presenting, analyzing and testing hypotheses for the conclusion and follow-up advice. This research was conducted on 47 on the regional work units in West Java Province, with a sample of 260 respondents from a population of 804. Data analysis tool used is a descriptive statistical analysis, and path analysis. Descriptive analysis of the study data, obtained several conclusions: competence and work ethic are the criteria sufficiently to well. Job satisfaction is at sufficient criteria to well, commitments were on both criteria. While the performance of employees that are in pretty good criteria. Verification of analysis results indicate a significant influence either partially or simultaneously between compe-tence and work ethic variable to variable job satisfaction. There is a significant influence either partially or simultaneously between compe-tence and work ethic variable to variable commitment. There is a significant influence either partially or simultaneously between the variables of job satisfaction and commitment to the performance of employees.
