Abstract

The research entitled: entitled “Code-Mixing Analysis on Bicara Cinta Podcast By Cinta Laura from Sociolinguistics Perspective “ proposes to gain a deep understanding of the type of code-mixing and the factors that impact code-mixing through podcast content. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the data of code-mixing. The data that was analyzed are the utterances from conversations or dialog between Cinta Laura and Chef Juna on one of the episodes of the podcast Bicara Cinta. Considering the number of episodes on the podcast, the writer chose episodes entitled: “Trauma Masa Kecil Membuatku Tidak Mau Punya Anak: Cinta Laura x Chef Juna” due to the multilingual background of both parties. The data have been selected and analyzed with Muysken (2000) about the type of code-mixing, and Hoffman (1991) using the factors that impact code�mixing. The result showed 28 code-mixing utterances. There are 17 data of insertion code-mixing and 11 data of alternation code-mixing. Furthermore, the data was also analyzed through the factors that impact the code-mixing. There are 10 data of emphatic about something, 7 data of intention to clarify, 5 data of talking about a particular topic, 2 data of interjection, 2 data of repetition, and 2 data of quotation.
