Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to obtain, analyze, and explain the effect of Overconfidence Bias, Mental accounting, and Conservatism on Investment Decisions among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pasundan Bandung, with Financial Literacy as the moderating variable. The research approach used in this study is descriptive analysis and verificative analysis using primary data. The population of this study is students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pasundan Bandung, from the 2019–2025 cohorts who already own a Customer Fund Account (RDN) with a securities company, with a sample size of 96 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The statistical analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression, Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), correlation coefficient analysis, and coefficient of determination analysis. Meanwhile, the hypothesis testing used in this study is the t-test (partial) and F-test (simultaneous) statistical methods. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be seen that Overconfidence Bias has a positive effect on investment decisions of 12.76%. This means that the higher the students' overconfidence bias, the higher their investment decisions. Mental accounting has a positive effect on investment decisions of 14.61%. this means that the better the students' mental accounting, the higher their investment decisions. Conservatism has a positive effect on investment decisions of 20.25%, meaning that the higher the students' conservatism, the higher their investment decisions. Based on the results of the Ftest, it can be seen that overconfidence bias, mental accounting, and conservatism simultaneously have a significant effect on investment decisions of 47.6%. Financial Literacy is shown to moderate the effect of mental accounting on investment decisions by 3.89%, but does not moderate the effect of overconfidence bias or conservatism on investment decisions. Keywords: Overconfidence Bias, Mental accounting, Conservatism, Investment Decision, Financial Literacy
