Abstract
Sexual violence, according to Article 1, Paragraph (1) of the Sexual Violence Crime Law Number 12 of 2022, refers to any act that degrades, insults, surrenders, or any other actions against a person's body, sexual desire, and/or reproductive functions, done forcibly, against a person's will, causing them to be unable to give free consent due to gender discrimination that results in physical, psychological, sexual, economic, social, cultural, and/or political suffering. The issues addressed are (1) How can FA's actions be classified as a crime? (2) What are the mechanisms for reporting that can be pursued by AD against FA? (3) What are the legal solutions for sexual violence in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 12 of 2022 on Sexual Violence Crime? The analysis tools used in the research include legal interpretation with a process of interpreting the meaning directed towards the rules set out in the law, utilizing authentic interpretation, grammatical interpretation, systematic interpretation, and subsumptive interpretation. The results of this research highlight the importance of effective law enforcement in cases of sexual violence and the need to raise public awareness of the victims' rights and available legal mechanisms. This research aims to provide guidance for victims of sexual violence in seeking justice and offer additional insights for law enforcers in handling similar cases.
