Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of foreign exchange reserves, GDP, rice prices, domestic rice production on rice imports in Indonesia. The data used is secondary data in the form of a time series for the period 1993-2020. The dependent variable in this study is rice imports, and the independent variables are foreign exchange reserves, GDP, rice prices, and domestic rice production. The method used in this study is the ECM (Error Correction Model) method. The results of this study indicate that in the long term and short term foreign exchange reserves have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's rice imports. Then the GDP variable in the long term is negative but significant, while in the short term it has a negative and insignificant effect. Rice price variable in the long run has a negative and insignificant effect, while in the short term it has a positive but not significant effect. Then the domestic rice production variable, in the long term and short term has a negative and insignificant effect.
