Abstract
ABSTRACT Poverty is an economic problem that must be faced by developing countries, especially in Indonesia. 34 provinces in Indonesia are also experiencing the same problem, so poverty must be eradicated. For poverty alleviation in Indonesia, it is necessary to know the factors that relate or directly affect the level of poverty in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence poverty in Indonesia for the period 2011-2020. Regression method used is panel data method with Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results of this study indicate that the factors that influence poverty, namely workers with higher education, regional income, economic growth rate, and population simultaneously affect the number of poor people in Indonesia. Partially the population variable has no significant effect on poverty in Indonesia, workers with higher education, regional income, and economic growth rate have a negative and significant effect on the number of poor people in Indonesia. Key words: Number of Poor Population, Workers Higher Education, Regional Revenue, LPE, Total Population.
