Abstract

ABSTRACT West Java Province has the highest population in Indonesia. The population reached 49.9 million people or 17.78% of the total population of Indonesia in 2023. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of poverty, education level, life expectancy, economic inequality and investment on the inclusive economic development index of districts/cities in West Java Province. Through a quantitative approach with panel data analysis, the results show that poverty and economic inequality negatively affect the inclusive economic development index. Meanwhile, education level, life expectancy and investment have a positive effect on the inclusive economic development index. This research shows that poverty eradication and economic inequality need to be implemented to achieve an increase in the development of an inclusive economic development index evenly.
