Abstract
ABSTRACT One of the economic sectors used by the government to support economic development is by developing the tourism sector. The existence of the tourism sector is a potential to be developed as an effort to fulfill the needs of the community for entertainment or recreational facilities. This study aims to: (1) determine the development of the number of foreign tourist visits, the number of domestic tourist visits, the number of tourist attractions, hotel occupancy rates and length of stay of tourists on the original regional income of the tourism sector of Bandung City, (2) To determine the results of the forecast of regional taxes for the tourism sector of Bandung City 2024-2034, (3) to determine the use of Google Trends in strengthening the analysis of the results of the projection of regional taxes for the tourism sector of Bandung City. This study uses secondary data sourced from the Regional Tax Revenue Agency for the Tourism Sector of Bandung City and Google Trends search keywords regarding the tourism sector such as Bandung City Hotels, Bandung City Restaurants, Bandung City Tourism, Bandung City Entertainment from 2017-2023. In this study, the research method used is a descriptive method using a comparative between the influence of the popularity of searches for the Tourism Sector on Google Trends on Regional Taxes for the Tourism Sector and ARIMA Model Forecasting analysis. The results of the analysis found that the graph showing the influence of the popularity of tourism sector searches on Google Trends on the Bandung City Tourism Sector Regional Tax from 2017 to 2023, shows that sectors such as hotels, restaurants, entertainment, and tourism have a relatively stable influence from year to year. Meanwhile, the forecast analysis from the ARIMA model forecast shows that historical data on the forecast graph indicates significant fluctuations from 2017 to 2023.
