Abstract

Every company has a goal to get maximum profit which will affect the prosperity of shareholders. This study aimed to analyze corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, liquidity, earnings quality, inflation, interest rates, and economic growth in Plantation Sub Sector Companies listed on the IDX in 2011-2020, and the effect of these variables on profitability. The research method was conducted by analyzing 19 companies. Data analysis in this study was carried out with EViews software. The results in this study are that the implementation of corporate social responsibility in the plantation sub-sector in 2011–2020 fluctuated and had an average value of 36.04%; the implementation of corporate governance tends to increase; liquidity, earnings quality, inflation, and interest rates experienced instability; the economic growth that occurred in 2011–2019 has increased, but in 2020 it has decreased due to the COVID-19 pandemic; profitability and firm value tend to decrease. The results of the analysis show that the ability of the variables of corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, liquidity, earnings quality, inflation, interest rates, and economic growth to have a significant effect on profitability in the regression model used to explain company profitability of 84.97 percent, corporate social responsibility, liquidity, and inflation partially having a negative and significant effect on profitability, while economic growth having a positive and significant effect on profitability Keywords: Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Governance, Liquidity, Profitability
