Abstract
Bandung City Square is the center of the city as well as public facilities that are intended for all people to carry out activities safely and comfortably, including for people with disabilities, especially blind people and wheelchair users. This study aims to evaluate support facilities for disabilities, especially for the visually impaired and wheelchair users. Through this research, the determinants of facility evaluation will be analyzed through compliance with the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 30/PRT/M/2006 and suitability for the visually impaired and wheelchair users which results in the direction of the development of supporting facilities. This research is a qualitative research with data collected by field observations, interviews with the visually impaired and wheelchair users, and simulations. This study shows that the availability of supporting facilities for people with disabilities in Bandung City Square has not fully met the applicable standards and the suitability of the needs of the blind and wheelchair users due to the difficulty of access to the research location and the limited mobility of persons with disabilities in the research location. In addition, people with disabilities tend not to access public spaces because it is still difficult to use them. Keywords: Public space, inclusive city, facilities, disability.
