Abstract

Tourism is one of the sectors that are very important for every country. Improvements in the tourism business sector can help the country's economy, including tourist attractions, destinations, or travel services. Tourism is a field that has spread and has various types. As a country with many tourist destinations, Indonesia has a beautiful island and is a place that many local and foreign tourists visit. West Java has many places that have the potential to become tourist destinations for vacation. One of the natural tourist destinations that still has historical elements is Jatiluhur Lake, which is located in Purwakarta City. The purpose of this research is to find out the efforts of Perum Jasa Tirta II to increase tourist interest in visiting Jatiluhur lake and also to find out what Perum Jasa Tirta II uses promotional techniques to increase tourist visits to tourist destinations of Jatiluhur Lake. This study uses qualitative methods and uses mix theory by Porter (1980), Djayakusumah (2010), and Dianawati (2007). Through data analysis using observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study is to increase the tourist. Perum Jasa Tirta II uses mix theory which is 1) The cost strategy, 2) The differentiation of product characteristics concerning other products of the competition, and 3) the Focus on small market segments. Perum Jasa Tirta II uses two promotion techniques online marketing and offline marketing. The conclusion, from the results of this study, Perum Jasa Tirta II uses the theory by Porter (1980) for the efforts used to increase tourist visits to Lake Jatiluhur. Using two promotional techniques using mix theory by Dyakusumah (2010) and Dianawati (2007). Two promotion techniques were used; online promotions, Facebook and Instagram.
