Abstract
This research entitled, “Implementation of Communication in PeduliLindungi Application Case Study Implementation of PeduliLindungi Application Communication for Elderly Communities in Cimahi City.” This research focuses on the implementation of PeduliLindungi for senior citizens in Cimahi regarding the process of decision making, implementation and results that are experienced by them as the user of the application. The purpose and objective of this research is to understand the decision of senior citizens in Cimahi regarding the innovation through five stages of adoption process: knowledge/awareness, persuasion, decision, implementation and confirmation. The research method is a qualitative method with Everett M. Rogers’s diffusion of innovations as its theory. The data are collected using observation, deep interview and literature review from several literature, documentation, book and academic research. Research results are collected from the informants which are grouped in five stages: knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation and confirmation stage. The level of knowledge in senior citizens is based on their level of education and communication behavior. The majority of senior citizens in Cimahi reject PeduliLindungi since there are vaccination cards that are easier to use. The decision for them to adopt new innovation is based on the consideration of advantages and disadvantages of using PeduliLindungi. They consider PeduliLindungi is able to facilitate its users during the pandemic. They see the application must simplify its system to accommodate them.
