Abstract
Perum Perhutani is a company engaged in the forestry sector (especially in Java and Madura) and has the task and authority to carry out Forest Resource Management (SDH) activities with due observance of production/economic aspects, social aspects and environmental aspects. In its operation, Perum Perhutani is under the coordination of the Ministry of SOEs with technical guidance from the Ministry of Forestry. Perum Perhutani has a long history in its formation, beginning with the formation of the Forestry Bureau with the Gouvernement Besluit (Government Decree) dated February 9, 1897 number 21. This study aims to empirically examine the effect of supervision on the work discipline of Perum Perhutani Garut Regency. This analysis uses 2 types of variables, namely the independent variable including supervision (X) and the dependent variable including work discipline (Y). The dimensions used in this study are 8 dimensions, including: supervision (setting standards, measuring work, performance appraisal, corrective action), work discipline (obeying rules and time, obeying company rules, obeying the rules of behavior at work, obeying to other regulations). Research data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 146 employee respondents from Perum Perhutani Garut Regency with 23 questions. The analytical technique used is SPSS version 25.0. The results showed that the independent variable had an effect on the dependent variable.
