Abstract

The research entitles “The Analysis of Learning Evaluation Appropriate with HOTS (higher order thinking skill)” it attempt to find out how are the indicator of achievement in lesson planning and question of learning evaluation arranged by 2nd grade English teacher of Pasundan 8 Senior High School Bandung academic year 2019 – 2020 appropriate with HOTS (higher order thinking skill). This research has passed through several process as example planning, implementing and reporting. This research use qualitative method. The data in this research, the first are lesson planning about explanation text and exposition text. The second are learning evaluation about explanation text and exposition text arranged by 2nd English teacher of Pasundan 8 Senior High School Bandung academic year 2019-2020. The indicator of achievement and the learning evaluation are as a main data of this research. The analysis used instrument document analysis. The writer take taxonomy bloom by Anderson & Krathwohl (2001) as a grand theory. The grand theory become a parameters to match indicator of achievement and question of learning evaluation with Indonesia curriculum 2013.The result of this research is the writer to highlight the indicator of achievement and the question of learning evaluation. In the lesson planning of explanation text and exposition text, the writer finds some available HOTS (higher order thinking skill). In the learning of explanation text, the writer finds some available HOTS (higher order thinking skill), but in the learning evaluation of exposition text, the writer does not finds HOTS (higher order thinking skill) Keywords: HOTS (higher order thinking skill), Learning Evaluation, Lesson Planning
