Abstract

This research paper is about the implementation of concept sentence method in teaching writing descriptive text to improve students’ writing skill. This research is an experimental implementation of concept sentence method and using descriptive qualitative. All of the data has analysed through three kinds of instruments, which are observation, test, and interview. The research was taken place in SMPN 29 Bandung, consists of 30 students. The result of the test showed improvement after using the concept sentence method. There are 24 students that have improved their writing skills especially writing descriptive text. The percentage of improvement from pre-test to post-test showed 47.9%. Key word: Descriptive text, concept sentence method, teaching writing
