Abstract

The underlying question in this research is the performance of employees at the Department of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Banjar low. It is alleged by the situational leadership style that has not been implemented optimally. The method used is descriptive analysis. This method serves to classify the data, work, concludes, explain and present the processed results. The goal is to make patterns or causal relationship between the value of a variable (the dependent variable) if the value of the other variables related thereto (the independent variable). This study used quantitative analysis, which is intended to test hypotheses and to conduct in-depth interpretation. Simultaneously the situational leadership style has a sizeable influence and significant impact on the performance of employees within the Department of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Kota Banjar of 76.7%. That is the style of situational leadership determine the improved performance of staff at the Department of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Banjar. Besides, it is also that their other variables not studied enough give effect to the employee's performance of 23.3%. Partially situational leadership style gives positive and significant impact on the performance of employees at the Department of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Banjar. The dimensions that provide the most impact to the smallest sequence is telling dimension (notify) amounted to 12.8%, dimensions selling (consulting) of 12.4%, the dimensions of the participating (included) amounted to 21.9% and delegating dimensions (delegate) sebsar 29.6%. Can be explained also that the dimensions of the greatest pengaruhya the performance of employees is the dimension of delegating (delegate) means that this dimension is crucial to the performance levels of employees in the Department of Industry, Trade and Cooperation Kota Banjar, while the smallest effect, is the dimension selling (consultation), which means that the dimensions this concern can be improved leader for its implementation in order to run with optimal performance.
