Abstract

PT. Proyekimagi Indonesia is a company engaged in the garment sector. One of the main products produced is a T-shirt with the brand Wadezig. As a company that has been established for quite a long time the percentage number of damage experienced by this company is still quite high, above the percentage figure set by the company, which is 3%. So the company needs to exercise good and correct quality control. The method that will be used to analyze the failure of the process that results in damage to the product is FMEA. As is known FMEA is used to see which part of the dominant process results in the failure of the Tshirt manufacturing process. The aim of the FMEA is to determine the priority of effective repairs. This research was conducted to analyze the failure of the process which resulted in damage to the product by using the FMEA method and using the Kipling method (5W1H) as a proposed improvement step as a good problem solver. From the problem solving that is done, it is expected to be able to provide information about the causes of process failure and also the priority of failures that must be followed up immediately. Based on the results of data processing in this study obtained Paretto diagram analysis, analysis of Fishbone Diagram, and RPN value. The type of failure that has the highest RPN value will get the first priority of improvement. In the first order, the Assembling process is obtained with the number of process RPN 697 with a potential failure mode, seams shrinking, jumping seams, uncluttered obras (titled), and jumping threads. Then the second sequence was obtained by the Screen Printing process with the number of process RPN 375 with the potential failure mode messy screen printing image, and sliding screen printing image. Then the third sequence was obtained by screen printing drying process with a number of RPN 120 processes with a shrinking material failure mode. Furthermore, to improve the failure mode, based on the calculation of the FMEA method that has been done, PT. Projectimagi Indonesia can use the Kipling method method which is done by asking a number of questions to answer the existing problems and the question used is 5W1H.
