Abstract

This study aims to find out: (i) how to prepare and implement micro teaching practices for students of the Economic Education and Mathematics Education study programs. (ii) how to teach the skills of students of the Economic Ed ucation and Mathematics Education study program. (iii) how much influence the practice of micro teaching has on the teaching skills of students of the Economic Education and Mathematics Education study programs. The research method used is a survey, with a sample of 142 students. To look for influence, the data analysis used is a simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows: (i) Preparation and implementation of micro teaching practices in the study program of Economic Education and Mathematics Education can be done well. This is based on the results of the data that shows that the average score of 4.21 is in the very good category. (ii) The teaching skills possessed by students of the Economic Education and Mathematics Educatio n study programs show good results. This is based on the results of the data that shows that the average score is at 4.17 which is in the very good category. (iii) The results of simple linear regression analysis show that there is an effect of the practic e of micro teaching on the teaching skills of students of the Economic Education and Mathematics Education study programs. With a R2 value of 0.438, it can be interpreted that the practice of micro teaching has a contribution of 43.8% to the teaching skill s of students. As the end of this study, the authors provide advice to relevant parties, namely: (i) for students, in implementing the micro teaching practice it is expected that students will continue to learn and practice so that they can develop their skills or teaching skills. (ii) for the institutions of FKIP / UNPAS, it is expected to be used as input and efforts to improve teaching skills of students through the practice of micro teaching in a better direction. (iii) for lecturers, it is expected to provide explanations or reinforcement in courses related to or related to micro teaching, which will improve and develop the teaching skills of students. (iv) for the next researcher, it is expected to provide new insights for the development of educational science. Keywords: Practice Micro Teaching, Teaching Skills
