Abstract

The main problem in this study is that organization effectiveness of Departments in Bekasi city is still low. It’s tough to have been came by situational leadership style and organizational culture have not been implemented optimally. The research method used is explanatory survey to collect information from respondent by using questionnaire. This is aimed to test rational answer so that it can explain the phenomenon that becomes problem. Simultaneously, the result shows that situational leadership style and organizational culture give huge and significant influence towards the organization effectiveness of Departments in Bekasi city with 73.1% while the epsilon is 26.9%. It means that really situational leadership style and organizational culture very influence towards organization effectiveness, but because have not been implemented optimally yet, so the effects of the organization effectiveness of Departments in Bekasi city is still low. Partially, situational leadership style gives significant influence towards the organization effectiveness of Departments in Bekasi city with 31.2%. The element of situational leadership style that gives the biggest influence is instruction style with 11.3% meanwhile the least is delegation leader style with 4.4%. Organizational culture gives bigger influence than situational leadership style with 41.9%. The characteristics of organizational culture that gives the biggest influence is aggressiveness with 10.3% meanwhile the characteristics of organizational culture that gives the least influence is attention to detail with 3.6%. The conclusion in this study is that situational leadership style and organizational culture empirically really will give contribution towards the organization effectiveness of Departments in Bekasi city both simultaneously and partially, but because have not been optimally yet, so the organization effectiveness is still low. This shows that situational leadership style and organizational culture needs applicated as soon as goodly for increasing the organization effectiveness of Departments in Bekasi city
