Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine relationship of nutritionknowledge and consumption patterns between nutritional status of TPB studentsat School of Business and Management Institut Teknologi Bandung. This research was expected to increase the consumption patterns accordance to their nutritionknowledge so students can get the ideal nutritional status and improve the awareness of good eating habits at School of Business and Management InstitutTeknologi Bandung. This study was an analytical cross-sectional study using nutrition knowledge, consumption patterns, and nutritional status as the variables. Totalpopulation is 360 TPB students of School of Business and Management InstitutTeknologi Bandung. Total sample was 79 students determined by purposivesampling technique. Data collected using nutrition knowledge questionnaire andFood Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Data tabulation and data analysispresented in percentage and correlation analysis using Chi Square method. This research shows: (1) There is correlation between nutrition knowledgeand nutritional status in TPB students of School of Business and ManagementInstitut Teknologi Bandung X 2 count 35,045 > X 2 table 30,98, (2) There iscorrelation between consumption patterns and nutritional status in TPB studentsof School of Business and Management Institut Teknologi Bandung X 2 count40,849 > X 2 table 30,98, (3) There are correlation between nutrition knowledge, consumption patterns, and nutritional status in TPB students of School of Business and Management Institut Teknologi Bandung.
