Abstract
This research aimed to quantify the level of loss of soil erosion in the area of food agriculture in Sub Pasirjambu watershed based formula USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) using GIS analysis. Based on the formula used, it would require four types of maps as the basis for calculating the level of erosion, the rainfall map, map of soil type, slope, and land cover maps. At each forum conducted classification into five classes based on certain standards. Overlay process is done to get the final result of the loss rate of soil erosion are categorized into five classes: very mild, mild, moderate, severe and very severe. The results showed that the rate of loss of soil erosion in the area of food agriculture in Sub Pasirjambu includes very mild to very severe with the percentage of land area successively from very mild to very severe 61.89%; 30.78%; 3.39%; 1.74%; and 2.20%. Land with very severe erosion hazard level covering a total area 95.21 ha i.e, Margamulya Village, Village Sugihmukti and Village Tenjolaya. Weight level covering 370.96 ha Cisondari the Village, Village Margamulya, Village Mekarsari, Village Sugihmukti and Village Tenjolaya. Moderate covering 564.69 ha are located in every village in the district Pasirjambu except Village Pasirjambu and Village Mekarmaju. The results of this study can be used as a baseline to create a regional development plan with good food agriculture land and crop management techniques to reduce the level loss of soil erosion.
