Abstract

One of most well-known techniques in solid waste management is the implementation of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R). Bandung as capital city of West Java has its own target up to 60% in 2018 through 3R Program for solid waste management. The implementation of the program by local government can be seen by building TPS 3R. Trash banks is another implementation of 3R program that was written under law by environmental ministry in Peraturan Menteri Lingkunga Hidup No.13 Tahun 2012. Trash banks gives economic value to the society has different characteristic one and each other. People who are interested in solid waste management in general and trash bank characteristic in detail have a limited option for this kind of information. The purpose of this research is to develop a trash bank information system in the form of web application where people can get access of each trash bank characteristic such as what kind of trash is accepted, the location of the bank, operational hour and day, etc. This developmental research is using Drupal as the content management framework. The system is developed using Extreme Programming Methodology. The data for the application in this research is obtained by doing survey using Open Data Kit Application (ODK Collect). Another feature of the built system is maps collection of trash bank, calculate the total of solid waste reduced from the trash bank activity from collected data and filtering the data by operational day, partnership and type of accepted trash in the bank.
