Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kajian dan pengamatan yang dilakukan di kelas IV SDN Purabaya Kecamatan Leles Kabupaten Cianjur yang menu n jukkan kurangnya hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Salah satu penyebab kurangnya hasil belajar siswa yaitu guru belum menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang tepat dan efektif. Metode yang digunakan guru yaitu metode ceramah, metode ini kurang memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk terlibat langsung dalam proses pembelajaran guru lebih mendominasi pada akhirnya siswa hanya menjadi pendengar setia ceramah yang d isampa ikan guru sehingga siswa menjadi pasif dan berdampak kepada hasil belajar . Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat dijadikan alternati f untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar adalah metode pembelajaran inkuiri . Metode pembelajaran inkuiri merupakan pembe lajaran yang diranc ang untuk membantu siswa mencari sebuah permasalahan dan pada akhirnya harus menjawab sendiri dari setiap permasalahan tersebut sehingga didapat pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Metode pembelajaran ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa mengenai Masalah - masalah Sosial di Lingkungan Setempat dalam pembelajaran IPS. Hasil peneli tian menunjukkan bahwa dengan metode pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil hasil belajar siswa. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa ditunjukkan de ngan meningkatnya persentase hasil belajar siswa, h asil postes di siklus I sebanyak 66% peserta didik sudah dikatakan tuntas mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan sebelumnya yaitu 70 untuk skala >50 - 100. Sedangkan sisanya yaitu 33% siswa masih jauh dari KKM. Peningkatan terlihat pada siklus II hasil postes yang didapatkan siswa yaitu 91% siswa berhasil mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan sebelumnya yaitu 70 untuk skala >50 - 100 telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditentukan yaitu 85% dan yang belum mencaimpai KKM yaitu 9% siswa. Artinya hasil belajar siswa pada si klus II ini dikatakan berhasil. Dengan demikian kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini ada lah peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari hasil pretes sampai pelaksanaan postes siklus I dan postes siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan yang baik, hasil pelaksanaan siklus II menunjukkan peserta didik yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 91 %, hal tersebut melebihi t arget yang ditentukan peneliti 85%. Dengan demikian metode pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningka tkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Kata Kunci: Metode Pembelajaran Inkuiri , Hasil Belajar. ix Improving Student Results SD Class IV Through Inquiry Methods in Learning IPS Sub Topics Social problems in the Local Environment By NANANG HIDAYAT ABSTRACT This research was motivated by studies and observations made in the fourth grade SDN Purabaya Leles subdistrict, Cianjur district that shows a lack of student learning outcomes in social studies learning. One reason for the lack of student learning outcome s that teachers do not use appropriate learning methods and effective. The method used by the teacher is lecturing methods, this method may not provide an opportunity for learners to be directly involved in the learning process of teachers predominate in t he end the students were only a loyal listener of lectures delivered teachers so that students become passive and impact on learning outcomes. One of the methods that can be used as an alternative to improve learning outcomes is a method of inquiry learnin g. Methods of inquiry learning is learning that is designed to assist students in finding a problem and must ultimately answer themselves from each of these challenges in order to get meaningful learning experiences. This learning method aims to improve st udent learning outcomes on Social Affairs in the Local Environment in learning IPS. The results showed that the method of inquiry learning can improve the results of student learning outcomes. Improving student learning outcomes indicated by the increased percentage of student learning outcomes, post - test results in the first cycle as much as 66% of learners had completed reached KKM said predetermined namely 70 to scale> 50 - 100. While the remaining 33% of students are still far from KKM. The improvement se en in the second cycle results obtained postes students ie 91% of students reached the predetermined KKM is 70 to scale> 50 - 100 have achieved success indicators have been determined at 85% and that has not mencaimpai KKM ie 9% of students. This means that student learning outcomes in this second cycle was successful. Thus the conclusion of this research is to increase student learning outcomes from the pretest to the implementation postes first cycle and posttest second cycle showed a good increase, the res ult of the implementation of the second cycle showed learners who reached KKM much as 91%, it exceeds the specified targets researchers 85 %.
